DANIEL MERLIS, LICSW
Daniel Merlis, LICSW has over 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist and traumatologist. As former adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine for nearly 20 years, he has extensive experience teaching and supervising psychotherapists. Dan has served on the faculty of the EMDR Institute since 1992, as President of the EMDR International Association and as editor of the EMDRIA clinical publications. He has practiced EMDR, taught, and supervised EMDR practitioners for nearly 20 years. Dan is the principal instructor for the Basic Trainings.

DEANY LALIOTIS, LICSW
Deany Laliotis,LICSW is a psychotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience who specializes in using EMDR with traumatic stress, anxiety disorders and performance enhancement. Deany has been on the faculty of EMDR Institute since 1993 for which she is a Senior Trainer. She has presented on EMDR and advanced applications of EMDR at numerous conferences around the country. In addition to her clinical practice, Deany conducts ongoing clinical consultation groups on EMDR throughout the region. Deany is the principal instructor for the Advanced Trainings.
